Alright, let’s talk about this sausage and noodle casserole. It’s a good dish, easy to make, fills you up real good. You know, the kind of food that sticks to your ribs. This one here, it’s a keeper. My family, they all love it. A good casserole always can feed many people. You will love this one. I think you should try it!

How to Make Sausage and Noodle Casserole? (Simple Ingredients and Step-by-Step Instructions for a Family Favorite)

First, you gotta get your sausage. Any kind will do, really. I like the spicy kind, but you do you. You need a good amount, maybe a pound or so. Then there are the noodles. Egg noodles, them’s the best for this. But I use any kind of noodle I have. Spaghetti, macaroni, all good. Also, you need some onion and some green pepper. I use a lot of onion, at least two or three. Some garlic too, if you like that. I sure do. Garlic is good for everything.

Now, you gotta cook that sausage. Chop it up, throw it in a big ol’ pan. A big skillet is good. Cook it up good, till it ain’t pink no more. Medium heat, that’s what you want. Then, throw in them chopped-up onions and peppers. Let ’em all cook together. You want them veggies to get soft, you know? Cook them until they are tender. Oh, and don’t forget to drain all that grease. Gotta get rid of that.

While that’s going, boil up your noodles. Just follow what the box says. Don’t overcook ’em, though. Nobody likes mushy noodles. Just cook them until they are not hard. When they’re done, drain ’em, rinse ’em with some cold water. This is important.

Now, here’s where it gets real good. You need some soup. Cream of mushroom, that’s the classic. But I’ve used cream of chicken too, and it was just fine. One can is usually enough. Maybe two, if you’re making a whole lot. You gotta mix that soup with some water. Not too much, just enough to make it a bit thinner. Like gravy, almost.

  • Sausage, about a pound
  • Noodles, any kind you like
  • Onion, one big one, chopped up
  • Green pepper, one chopped up
  • Cream of mushroom soup, one can
  • Water
  • Salt and pepper

Now, you put everything together in big bowl. Sausage and noodle casserole is the best. Mix the cooked sausage, the cooked noodles, and that soup mixture. Stir it all up real good. Make sure everything’s coated, you know?

Then you gotta get yourself a casserole dish. One of them big ones, that’s what you need. Grease it up good, so nothing sticks. I use that cooking spray, it’s easy. Then, pour that whole mess into the dish. Spread it out even, like. I usually use a 9×13 inch pan, and it is perfect.

Now, some folks like to put cheese on top. I do sometimes, when I got some. Shredded cheddar, that’s good. Or that mozzarella, that’s good too. Sprinkle it on top, if you’re using it. It makes a nice crusty top, all brown and bubbly. My kids like it with a lot of cheese.

Then, you bake it. 350 degrees, that’s the magic number. Bake it for about, oh, half an hour. Maybe a bit longer, if it’s real full. You want it to be all bubbly and hot, all the way through. If you put cheese on top, you want that cheese to be all melted and brown.

When it’s done, take it out of the oven. Let it sit for a bit, cool down some. It’ll be hotter than a firecracker, so be careful. This will let the casserole set. It will be easier to serve. Then, just scoop it out and serve it up.

This sausage and noodle casserole, it’s good with all sorts of things. A salad, maybe. Some bread, if you like. I like it with some green beans. It is a full meal, you do not need a lot of side dish. But you can eat it however you want.

This is an easy recipe. Even you are not a good cook, you can make this. It is cheap to make too. This is important if you have a big family. If you want, you can even make it ahead of time and freeze it. Then you just bake it when you want it. Easy peasy. This is also a good potluck dish. You can bring it to parties. Everyone will like it. Trust me, this is a good one.

It’s a good, hearty meal. It’ll fill you up and keep you going. It’s the kind of food that makes you feel good, you know? Comfort food, that’s what they call it. I hope you try this recipe. You will like it. My family all love this sausage and noodle casserole. I make it a lot. I think I will make it again tomorrow. Maybe you should too. It is so good.
