Well, y’all, if you’re makin’ that fancy Chicken Alfredo, ya gotta have somethin’ on the side, right? Now, I ain’t talkin’ ‘bout any old side, I mean somethin’ that’ll make that creamy pasta pop, you know? There’s all kinds of sides that go real well with Chicken Alfredo, and I’m here to tell ya ‘bout ‘em so you don’t mess up your supper.

Best Side Dishes to Pair with Chicken Alfredo: Salads, Veggies, and More

First off, let’s talk bread. Now, I know bread’s not exactly a side dish on its own, but honey, when it’s garlic bread, it sure is! That garlic butter flavor just mixes so nice with the rich, creamy Alfredo sauce. You dip that bread right in and oh, Lord, it’s like heaven on a plate. Ain’t nobody gonna say no to some good ol’ garlic bread, right? You can also go with breadsticks if you like somethin’ a little more crunchy to go with your creamy pasta.

Now, if you want somethin’ that’s a bit healthier to go with your Alfredo, then some steamed broccoli or roasted Brussels sprouts might be the thing for ya. Trust me, those little green veggies do wonders with all that creamy goodness. You don’t wanna go overboard with too much heavy stuff, so a little broccoli or Brussels sprouts balances things out real nice. Ya just steam ‘em or roast ‘em with a bit of salt and pepper and you’re good to go!

If you’re wantin’ to get fancy like them Italians do, a nice Italian salad will do wonders, too. Now, I ain’t talkin’ ‘bout them pre-made salads you get at the store, I mean one that’s got fresh lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and maybe a little bit of mozzarella on top. You can even throw in a little balsamic vinegar to give it that real Italian taste. It’s fresh and crunchy and just what you need with all that creamy Alfredo pasta.

Another good side is asparagus, but not just any asparagus, no sir. I’m talkin’ about bacon-wrapped asparagus. Now, y’all might think this sounds a bit much, but trust me, the bacon makes everything better! You just wrap those asparagus stalks with some bacon and bake ‘em up. The smokiness of the bacon makes that asparagus taste like somethin’ outta this world. It’s a good balance to the rich Alfredo sauce and adds a little crisp to your plate.

If you like ‘em, green beans go real good too. You can just steam ‘em or sauté ‘em with a bit of garlic and olive oil. They don’t need nothin’ too fancy. They’re crunchy and fresh, just what you need to go with all that creamy pasta. And if you got kids around, corn on the cob is a winner! It’s sweet and juicy, and it’ll fill ‘em up while they’re chowin’ down on their pasta.

Now, I know some folks like to go all out and serve up a fancy Caprese salad with their Chicken Alfredo. That’s the one with tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and a little drizzle of olive oil. It’s light and fresh, and it pairs so well with that creamy pasta. If you’re feelin’ like doin’ somethin’ different, you could try roasted zucchini boats or even some roasted carrots. Just slice ‘em up and throw ‘em in the oven. They come out all sweet and tender, and they’ll add a nice little touch to your meal.

And don’t forget about them roasted tomatoes. You just take some cherry tomatoes, throw ‘em in a hot oven with a little olive oil and salt, and roast ‘em ‘til they’re all blistered and juicy. These little tomatoes add a nice, tangy flavor to balance out all the richness of the Alfredo. And, if you like, you can toss in a bit of spinach, too. It don’t take much to make it taste good—just a little garlic and olive oil, and you’re set.

Oh, and for dessert—well, I ain’t gonna go on and on ‘bout sweets, but you might wanna finish your meal with somethin’ light, like a fruit salad or some fresh berries with whipped cream. That way, you ain’t too full and heavy, and you get a sweet finish to your meal.

There’s just so many ways to make that Chicken Alfredo meal a real treat. You can pick what suits your taste and what you got in the fridge. But whatever you choose, just make sure it’s somethin’ that’ll go well with that creamy, cheesy Alfredo sauce. That’s the key to a good meal, y’all!
