Okay, so this morning I had a real hankering for a good breakfast, and since I’m in Rochester, MN, I figured I’d see what this place has to offer. I’m talking about a real breakfast, not just a sad pastry and coffee. I wanted the works, you know? Eggs, bacon, the whole nine yards.

Step one, do some digging
First thing I did was grab my phone and started poking around online. I punched in “best breakfast Rochester MN” and, boy, did I get a lot of hits. After sifting through a bunch of stuff, a few names kept popping up: Hollandberry Pannekoeken, Benedict’s, Canadian Honker, Blue Plate Diner, and Chester’s Kitchen and Bar. These seemed to be the big players in the Rochester breakfast scene.
Weighing my options
Now, each of these places had their own vibe. Hollandberry Pannekoeken sounded kinda fancy with that name, and it looked like they specialized in those big Dutch pancakes. Benedict’s seemed like a solid, classic choice. Canadian Honker, well, the name made me chuckle, but it looked like a popular spot. Blue Plate Diner had that old-school feel I kinda dig, and Chester’s seemed a bit more upscale.
Making a decision
After hemming and hawing for a bit, I decided to roll with Benedict’s. It just felt right. I hopped in my car and punched the address into my GPS.
Finally! Time to eat
Pulled up to Benedict’s and it was pretty busy, which is always a good sign, right? I got seated pretty quick, though. The menu was packed with all the good stuff. I ended up going for their classic eggs Benedict, because, duh, it’s in the name of the place! I also got a side of bacon, because, well, bacon is life. I did not take coffee. I was too excited to eat.
Let me tell you, that eggs Benedict was on point. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and tangy, the eggs were poached perfectly, and that bacon was crispy as all get-out. I pretty much inhaled the whole thing.
The aftermath
Stuffed and happy, I paid my bill and strolled out of there. Benedict’s definitely lived up to the hype. It’s a solid breakfast choice in Rochester, and I’ll probably be back to try their other stuff.
So, if you’re ever in Rochester, MN and you’re looking for a killer breakfast, give Benedict’s a shot. And hey, if you’ve got any other recommendations, let me know! I’m always down to explore more breakfast joints. I think next time I will try Hollandberry Pannekoeken. I hope it will be delicious!

- Benedict’s – solid choice, great eggs Benedict
- Hollandberry Pannekoeken – gotta try those Dutch pancakes
- Canadian Honker – gotta go just for the name alone
- Blue Plate Diner – for that classic diner experience
- Chester’s Kitchen and Bar – maybe for a fancier breakfast
Alright, that’s my breakfast adventure in Rochester. Hope you enjoyed it!
