Alright, so I’ve been seeing these dessert charcuterie cups all over the internet, and I thought, “Hey, I can totally do that!” So, I finally gave it a shot, and lemme tell ya, it was way easier (and tastier) than I expected.
First things first, I hit up the grocery store. I was thinking of a mix of textures and flavors, you know? So, I grabbed:
- Mini brownies – because, duh, brownies are awesome.
- Rice Krispie Treats – Needed something chewy.
- Fresh Strawberries – gotta have something fresh
- Marshmallows – Soft and sweet, always a win.
- Chocolate Pretzels – For that salty-sweet combo.
- Some mini chocolate candies – For the eye candy you know?
Got all my goodies back home and started prepping. I sliced the strawberries, cut the brownies and rice krispie treats into bite-sized pieces – basically, anything that was too big needed to be smaller. This is key ’cause you want everything to fit nicely in the cups.
Now for the cups! I just used some clear plastic cups I had lying around. Nothing fancy. You could totally use small glass jars or anything else you think looks cute.
Then came the fun part – assembly! I started by putting a layer of brownies at the bottom of each cup. Then, I layered in some marshmallows, followed by strawberries, and sprinkled some of the mini chocolate candies in there. Next up was pretzels and then Rice Krispie Treats, i tried to make them look appealing from the outside.
I just kept layering until the cups were full, making sure to show off all the different colors and textures. I even stuck a few extra strawberries on top for a little extra flair.
And that was it! Dessert charcuterie cups, DONE! Seriously, it took me like, maybe 30 minutes tops? They looked super cute, and everyone loved them. It’s such a fun and easy way to serve up dessert, and you can totally customize it to whatever you like.
Here’s a few tips I learned along the way:
- Don’t overfill the cups. You want people to be able to grab stuff easily without making a mess.
- Mix up the textures. That’s what makes it interesting! Crunchy, chewy, soft – the more variety, the better.
- Use different colors. It just looks prettier that way.
- Prep everything beforehand. Slice, dice, chop – get it all done before you start assembling, and it’ll go way faster.
Honestly, this is my new go-to for parties and gatherings. It’s way more fun than just putting out a plate of cookies, and it looks like you put in way more effort than you actually did. Win-win!
