Okay, so I decided to make some Rice Krispie cookies today. I’d never tried this before, but I found a recipe online, and it looked pretty simple. Turns out, it kinda was!

Getting Started
First, I gathered all my ingredients. You know, the usual suspects:
- Rice Krispies cereal
- Marshmallows
- Butter
- Some cookie cutters (because why not?)
I melted the butter in a big pot on the stove. Low heat, so I didn’t burn anything. Once that was all liquidy, I dumped in the marshmallows. I stirred and stirred until they were all gooey and melted, too. It took a little while, but it was kinda satisfying watching them melt.
Mixing It Up
Next, I took the pot off the heat and poured in the Rice Krispies. This is where it got a little tricky. I had to mix everything really well so all the cereal was coated in the marshmallow goo. My arms got a little workout, I’m not gonna lie.
Cookie Time!
Once it was all mixed, I spread the mixture out onto a big baking sheet that I’d lined with parchment paper. Then came the fun part – I used my cookie cutters to make some fun shapes. I had stars, hearts, and even a little gingerbread man.
I pressed them to make it flat.
After that, I just let them cool and harden up. It took about an hour, and I had to resist the urge to sneak a taste before they were ready.

The Result
They turned out pretty good! They were chewy, sweet, and had that classic Rice Krispies crunch. The cookie shapes made them extra fun, I think. Definitely a success for a first try!
