Okay, so yesterday, I went to the Point Pleasant Seafood Festival. I’d heard about it for years, and finally decided to check it out.

First, I grabbed my cooler and headed out early. I wanted to beat the crowds and, more importantly, get the best parking spot. I drove down, and man, was it already getting busy when I arrived!
I paid for parking – a bit pricey, but hey, it’s a festival – and walked towards the entrance. I could smell the food from a mile away, all that delicious seafood!
The Food, Oh My!
Once inside, I was immediately overwhelmed, in a good way! There were so many food stalls, it was hard to choose. I saw everything from lobster rolls to fried clams to shrimp skewers.
- First, I grabbed a lobster roll. It was huge and overflowing with fresh lobster meat.
- Next, I tried some fried calamari. It was perfectly crispy and not too greasy.
- I washed it all down with some fresh lemonade.
- After walking, I got some soft serve.
I found a spot by the water and watch boats passing by, while I finished up my food.
More Than Just Food
After I ate, I wandered around a bit. There were craft vendors and live music, which was pretty cool. I listened to the band for a while, then I decided to check out some of the craft stalls.
All that walking around made me hungry again! I grabbed one last snack – some fried Oreos. I’d never had them before, but they were surprisingly good!
Finally, I packed up my things and headed back to my car, completely stuffed and happy. It was a long, fun day.I had a blast and will definitely go back next year, and I think you should too!
