Well now, I tell ya, if you’re like me, you just love a good ol’ bowl of Sweetgreen’s Harvest Bowl, don’t ya? It’s one of them fancy salads that folks rave about, but let’s be honest, it ain’t always cheap. So, I thought, why not try makin’ it at home? Ain’t nothin’ better than savin’ a few bucks while still gettin’ that mouth-watering flavor. Here’s how you can make your own Sweetgreen copycat recipe right in your kitchen, and trust me, it’ll taste just as good—if not better!

Sweetgreen Copycat Recipes You Can Easily Make at Home for Less

First thing’s first, you need to get your hands on some good ol’ wild rice. You know, the kind that makes your belly feel full. Take a pot, throw in some wild rice, and add a cup of water with a pinch of salt. Bring it to a boil, then put a lid on it and turn the heat down low. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes. After that, fluff it up with a fork, and you got yourself a nice, warm base for your bowl.

While that rice is cookin’, we’re gonna get them sweet potatoes ready. You can’t go wrong with some roasted sweet potatoes, lemme tell ya. Just chop ‘em up, toss ‘em in some olive oil, salt, and pepper, and pop ‘em in the oven at 450°F. Roast ‘em for about 20 minutes, and they’ll come out all crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Ain’t nothin’ better than that.

Now, don’t forget the chicken. You can either grill it or roast it, whichever you prefer. I like mine grilled, myself. Just season it up with some salt and pepper, and throw it on the grill until it’s nice and juicy. Once it’s cooked through, slice it up into strips, ready to go on top of that beautiful bowl of goodness.

Next, let’s talk about them maple-glazed brussels sprouts. Ain’t nobody’s gonna turn down some sweet, crispy brussels sprouts. Grab a handful of ‘em, trim ‘em up, and roast ‘em with a bit of olive oil and maple syrup. I usually put ‘em in for about 15 minutes at 400°F, just long enough for that syrup to caramelize and make ‘em sticky and sweet.

Now, once everything’s cooked up and ready to go, start building that bowl. First, put down your wild rice, then layer on the roasted sweet potatoes, grilled chicken, and those maple-glazed brussels sprouts. Don’t forget to add a little crunch with some pecans and a bit of goat cheese if you’re feelin’ fancy. And if you want to make it extra special, drizzle on a bit of creamy balsamic dressing. It’s just the right touch to bring it all together.

And there ya have it, a homemade Sweetgreen Harvest Bowl that’s sure to fill you up and save you a few pennies. It’s hearty, it’s sweet, it’s savory, and it’s just as good as what you’d get at the store—maybe even better! So go ahead, give it a try. You’ll be sittin’ pretty with a full belly and a happy heart.

Now, if you want to switch things up a bit, try addin’ in some apples for that extra sweetness, or maybe a little avocado if you’re feelin’ extra indulgent. The possibilities are endless, really. Just remember, the key to a good bowl is balance. You want that perfect mix of savory, sweet, and crunchy, and you’ll have yourself a meal worth savin’ for!
